Diagnosing Spotify Issues

Step 1: Check The Output in Spotify

Within Spotify, navigate to the output section as seen in the image below. There are two ways galleries are setup. Either you stream directly to the amplifier, or there is a computer plugged into the amplifier that controls the music. If you stream directly to the amp, you need to select your amp. If there is a computer plugged into the amplifier that controls the music, you need to select that computer from your other computers.

Step 2: Ensure Spotify is Not Muted

Ensure Spotify is not muted. If it is muted, it will display a cross next tot her speaker as seen below.

Step 3: Ensure Your Computer Is Not Muted

If your gallery is setup whereby there is a computer plugged into the amplifier that controls the music, ensure the computer is not muted as seen below.

Step 4: Check That The Output is Correct on The Computer

If your gallery is setup whereby there is a computer plugged into the amplifier that controls the music, ensure that the audio output on the computer is set correctly. To do this, right click on the audio symbol which can be seen in the above picture and select "Sound Settings". You will see a list of output devices. You need to ensure that it is set to "Headphones".
